This was an summer intern at Volkswagen Shanghai, and later became my graduation essay, working along with Tonggao Tech to analyse current manufacturing technique and improve product performance.
Quality of laser brazing in use was not ideally cost-effective due to possible misappropriate heat treatment.
We developed FEA model of actual process and conducted experiments for formulating relationship between certain parameters.

Involve processes of DMADV on previous designs, CAD writing and FEA analysis (on Solidworks), DFMEA and optimization to welding parameters.
Develop and verify finite element physical models, then simulate temperature field of welding process in real external luggage cage cover manufacturing process with FEM through program developed on Inter Visual Fortran with ANSYS.
Deduct theoretical equations of relevant parameters and the welding quality to serve as a reference in actual production.
Conduct actual experiments for laser brazing on specific model of Zn-coated steel plates to verify theoretical equations.
