Automated Titration System

Automated Titration System

This system is designed for automated titration process.

Current process is purely conducted by man power, which may require a full day to complete one set of experiment.

With help of this automated system, scientists are relieved from tedious repetitive work and focus on more prior tasks. It also improve accuracy as well as efficiency for 79.5% when compared to previous process.

It consists of four major modules:

1. Robotic Arm, which is similar to 3D printer and  moves pipet device to ideal location. 

2. Auto feeding system, which takes used well-plates from the arm and feeds it with pre-prepared ones.

3. Analysis system, which takes sensor from arm after titration is done and analyze for results. 

4. Operation system, which integrate and controls all modules mentioned above. 

2017

As the only non-chemical engineer in this project, I gained a lot experience regarding to mechanical design, hardware integration and software development. 

Apart from designing and building robot arm, feeding system and analysis system with my own hand, I also wrote a full operation system in Python to implement Raspberry Pi as main controller for hardwares.
